University Hospital Welcomes Back Humana Members

University of Louisville Hospital and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center are pleased to welcome back Humana members, now able to access in-network coverage for both hospital-based and physician services.  An agreement between University Physician Associates (UPA) and Humana took effect on October 1st, while hospital and cancer center coverage continued uninterrupted.

“We are pleased about this new agreement and look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with University Physicians Associates, said Jeff Bringardner, president of Humana’s Kentucky commercial operations. “Most importantly, we are pleased to be able to offer our commercial customers the most comprehensive network of primary care and specialty physicians in our marketplace.”  Humana members now once again have in-network access to the 600 primary care and specialty physicians under the UPA umbrella.

“We are delighted that Humana Inc. and University Physicians Associates have finalized an agreement. Our renewed partnership demonstrates Humana and UPA’s dedication to provide Humana members with access to leading-edge healthcare,” explained Michael W. Bukosky, CEO of UPA. “UPA physicians look forward to once again providing care for Humana members.”
