UofL Women's Soccer Team Hosts "Kick-Out Cancer Night"

The UofL women's soccer team will do their part in raising cancer awareness Friday, October 16, in their home game against the University of South Florida. The team has partnered with the Kentucky Cancer Program to host "Kick-Out Cancer Night" at Cardinal Park (2100 South Floyd Street).

The event will make the fight against cancer more well known in Louisville. A portion of the gate receipts from Friday's night game will be donated to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center's research efforts.

Fans are encouraged to wear purple and support the UofL women's soccer team and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m., and all cancer survivors get free admission.

The James Graham Brown Cancer Center is a key component of the University of Louisville's Health Sciences Center and UofL Health Care. As the region's leading academic, research, and teaching medical center, our patients benefit from the latest medical advances, often long before they become available in non-teaching settings. The Brown Cancer Center is affiliated with the Kentucky Cancer Program and the National Cancer Institute and is making great strides with an aggressive plan to become a National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Center. It is the only cancer center in the region to use a unified approach to cancer care, with multidisciplinary teams of physicians working together to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. For more information, visit our website www.browncancercenter.org.
