Over 1,000 people received their seasonal flu vaccination on the first day of UofL Health Care's Drive-Thru Flu Shot. The final number of immunizations provided on day one was 1,183.
"Each person immunized Tuesday (October 13) became another person protected against seasonal influenza," said Linda Goss, Director of Infection Control at University Hospital.
If you didn't get a chance to receive your seasonal flu shot on Tuesday, stop by Papa John's Cardinal Stadium (2800 South Floyd Street) on Thursday, October 15, for another opportunity to take your best shot against the flu.
The immunizations provided are for the seasonal flu only and will be given from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cost is $25 or covered by Medicare, and registration can be done online. Click here to register.
