The U of L Health Care musculoskeletal imaging section performs a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interventions, including:
- outside consultation
- inpatient and outpatient care
- directly admission for patients needing musculoskeletal and spinal interventional procedures
- coordination of imaging workups for complex cases
MRI
- Orthopedic evaluation with
- 3.0T super-conducting magnet suitable for all clinical and research applications
- 1.5T open bore magnet suited for claustrophobic patients, but with image quality comparable to traditional scanners
- Superior MR angiography/venography
- Superior spine imaging
CT
- State-of-the-art CT scanners for both inpatient and outpatient evaluation
- CT angiography
- CT Guided Biopsy, Injections and Drainage Procedures
Ulstrasound
- US for both inpatient and outpatient evaluation
- US Guided Biopsy and Drainage Procedures
Fluoroscopy
- Diagnosis and treatment spinal disorders (facet joint injections, facet joint ablations, biopsies, nerve root injections, diskograms, vertebroplasties, kyphoplasties etc.)
