Breast Care Center

The Breast Care Center, located at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, provides a multitude of diagnostic procedures. Staffed by experienced mammographers and technologists, our diagnostic and interventional services include:

• Digital mammography
• Ultrasound
• Fine needle aspiration (FNA)
• Stereotactic biopsy or needle-localization
• Education for early detection of breast cancer.

The Mobile Mammography Unit, the first in Kentucky, provides digital screening mammography at corporations, health departments and public sites throughout the state, while our Portable Mammography Program makes regular visits to the Jefferson County Health Departments. Each of these accredited programs is staffed with certified mammography technologists and board-certified radiologists.
