St. James Art Fair
The St. James Court Art Show is a juried fine art and craft show
produced by a consortium of five non-profit neighborhood associations.
Always held the first full weekend of October, it hosts an impressive
650 plus artists from all over the Americas.
Kentucky Derby Festival
Produced annually since 1956, the Derby Festival now includes 70
special events that entertain 1.5 million people annually. The two
weeks of excitement that precede the Running for the Roses, offers
something for everyone. Highlights include Thunder Over Louisville,
the nation's largest annual fireworks extravaganza; the Great Steam
Boat Race on the Ohio River; the Great Balloon Race and the Pegasus
Parade to name a few.
Kentucky Shakespeare Festival
The oldest free, independently operated Shakespeare festival in
the nation. Performs June and July in Central Park.
