Office of Research Integrity
The Office of Research Integrity was established to oversee all research activities and clinical trials conducted at the University of Louisville Hospital and James Graham Brown Cancer Center, ensuring that all research activities are conducted in compliance with federal law and applicable regulations. In addition, the Office of Research Integrity provides both financial support as well as operational support for many research initiatives.
The Office of Research Integrity works closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Office of Industry Contracts and the university to make certain that clinical research conducted at U of L Health Care is of the highest scientific and human quality. These values are reflected in the Research Integrity Mission Statement:
The University of Louisville Hospital is committed to the highest standards of ethics, honesty and integrity in pursuit of its mission of education, research and patient care and public service. The University of Louisville Hospital's Office of Research Integrity was established to assist in meeting these standards by ensuring compliance with all regulations surrounding human subject research through education and training of the research staff involved with human subject research and extending the protection of relevant legal, ethical and safety standards and regulations to university and hospital faculty, staff, students, the public, and research subjects involved in University of Louisville Hospital research activities.
