Visitors and Well-wishers
We understand that the special people in your life will want to show their support while you are in the hospital. Please share the following information with your potential visitors and well-wishers.
Visitors and Visiting Hours
Generally, patients can have visitors between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. However, please be aware that visitor hours may be different in some patient units. Ask your nurse about the visiting hours in your unit.
We ask that the number of visitors be limited and the length of their stay moderated according to the patient's condition. With certain exceptions, children may visit. Visits with children under 14 years of age must be arranged with the charge nurse on your unit.
You or your doctor may request that a "No Visitors" sign be posted on your door. If your condition requires isolation, special instructions will be placed on your door. Please ask your family and friends to follow those instructions or speak with the nurse before entering your room.
In intensive care units, visiting hours are based on the needs of the patient. Please direct any questions you may have about visiting hours or visitor policies to the unit's nursing staff.
Visitor Meals
Your visitors may choose from a variety of in-house dining options.
Family and friends can order a meal to eat with you in your room. Guest meals are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and are served with the patient's tray. Meals must be ordered and paid for in advance at the Cashier's Office. Guest trays are delivered at the same time as patient trays.
