In other news tonight, the University of Louisville averted a medical crisis last week with the hiring of nine neurosurgeons. It means University Hospital's Trauma Center will continue serving thousands of critically injured patients without interruption. Steve Burgin has been looking into the importance of the trauma center to Louisville and he joins us with more. Simply put, the Trauma Center saves lives. It also gives a critically injured person a greater chance at recovery. No one knows that better than a young man named Aaron Cundiff. Donna Cundiff, mother, "He was crossing Six Mile and Breckenridge, an F-150 coming down the hill hit him." Donna Cundiff's son Aaron, who was 18 at the time, was rushed to University Hospital and taken into what's called "Room Nine."
